Description
The Gift of Education is an online gift registry service for educational savings accounts. We do not charge members to register. We do charge a per transaction fee when a gift is made. The site is intended to be a tool to assist families in saving for a child's education. TGOE facilitates site visitors to make contributions to preexisting education saving funds (including, but not limited to, 529s, savings accounts, checking accounts, UTMA and UGMAs and mutual funds). These existing funds are maintained by third parties and are not affiliated with TGOE. We are not legal or financial tax advisors or brokers.
Your Registration Information
You are responsible for registering correct information. If any information is incorrect, there may be a delay in processing your transaction.
We are not responsible for how gifts are invested or used.
The Gift of Education is a gift registry site for college and educational savings accounts. The site's intent is to encourage people to save for a child's education. The Gift of Education is not responsible for, nor has influence over, what type of account is opened on behalf of the child. In addition, The Gift of Education is not responsible for how the funds are invested or spent.

Use of the Service
Your right to access and use thegiftofeducation.com and its services is personal to you and is not transferable. You are only entitled to access and use thegiftofeducation.com for lawful purposes.
As a user, you are responsible for keeping all information true, accurate and current. If you do not do this the accuracy and effectiveness of the Service will be affected. You are responsible to maintain the confidentiality of your password and account. You are solely responsible for all activities that occur under your password and account.
As a user, you are responsible for your own content and responsible for the consequences of posting such content. The following are not permitted:
- Material that is harassing, threatening, defamatory, abusive or sexually explicit
- Advertisements or promotional material, spam, junk mail or solicitations
- Posting of copyrighted material without the permission of the owner
- Access to non-public areas of the website to obtain personal information
- Illegal activity
The Gift of Education wants children protected while using the Internet. Consistent with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998, we will never knowingly request personally identifiable information of any kind from anyone under the age of 13 without prior verifiable parental consent. Anyone under 18 years of age must have his or her parent or guardian's permission to use this site.
The Gift of Education does not monitor or screen the site. However, we reserve the right to terminate the right of use if the Terms and Conditions are violated.
The Gift of Education uses Braintree, a division of PayPal, Inc. (Braintree) for payment processing. In order for you to use Braintree's payment processing services, you must enter into the Merchant Services Agreement (MSA) with Braintree and its sponsoring bank. The MSA is available here. By accepting this Agreement, you agree: (a) that you have downloaded or printed the MSA, and (b) that you have reviewed and agree to the MSA. Please note that The Gift of Education is not a party to the MSA and that you, Braintree, and Braintree's sponsoring bank are the three parties to the MSA and that The Gift of Education has no obligations or liability to you under the MSA. Rights You Grant Us
By using this Service, you are authorizing The Gift of Education to:
- Collect data including, but not limited to: name, address, birthdays, name of bank, bank account number or credit card numbers
- Collect contributions on your behalf and facilitate the transfer to your bank account
- By supplying personal information to TGOE, you grant TGOE the right to provide such information to third parties for the purposes of facilitating the completion of the transaction initiated by you on your behalf.
- Send promotional emails to you and your contacts uploaded to the site
- Send promotional emails to you or contact stored on the TGOE website
- Use testimonials posted to our website, Facebook or Twitter
- Perform maintenance on the site
- Modify this Agreement. Modifications will be posted to the site along with date of the modification.
- Terminate this agreement for the following reasons:
- if you breach any provision of this Agreement
- if required by law
- email notification by you, the user

These links are provided for your convenience only. The Gift of Education does not have control and is not responsible for the content of third party sites. Handling Charges
There is no fee to register with The Gift of Education. However, a transaction fee may be charged to the gift giver when a gift is made.
Refunds
No. Once a payment has been processed and sent to the child or student's bank account, it cannot be reversed.
Limitations, Minimums and Maximums
- Minimum contribution is determined by the individual account holder.
- There is no maximum contribution.
- Contributions will not be sent to overseas or to foreign banks.
Canceling Your Account with The Gift of Education
This Agreement will continue to apply until terminated by you or The Gift of Education.You may cancel your account by emailing This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. Please include your name, your child's name and birthdate. Your account will be closed within 48 hours and a confirmation email will be sent to your designated email account.
Governing Law
You agree that the law of the State of California and any applicable federal laws of the United States govern your use of The Gift of Education website.
Copyright and Trademarks
The reproduction, modification, distribution, transmission, republication, display or performance of the Content on this website is strictly prohibited. All content included on this website, including graphics, logos, buttons, images, audio clips and software, is the property of The Gift of Education.
Intellectual Property Rights
The contents of thegiftofeducation.com, including its look and feel (text, graphics, images, logos and button icons), photographs, editorial content, notices, software and other material are protected under both United State copyright law and trademark law. The contents of thegiftofeducation.com belong or are licensed to GOE Enterprises, LLC. GOE Enterprises, LLC grants you the right to view and use thegiftofeducation.com subject to these terms. You may download or print a copy of information provided on the site for personal, non-commercial use only. Any distribution, reprint or electronic reproduction of any content from thegiftofeducation.com is whole or in part for any purpose is expressly prohibited without our prior written consent.
Hold Harmless Indemnity
